MEET OUR PASTOR

Pastor Kevin Birnie

Kevin’s heart is to help people know Jesus and experience His grace, freedom and life to the full. Experiencing Christ’s love changed his own life, and he has devoted his life to sharing that hope with others.

Kevin and his wife, Amanda, moved to Binbrook in early 2016 after God opened the door for them to start a church. What began with a few families gathering in a living room grew into The Well, which officially launched in October 2017.

Kevin welcomes big questions and honest conversations about life and faith. Through practical Bible teaching, he helps people explore difficult issues, understand God’s Word, and follow Jesus in their everyday lives. His desire is for everyone who walks through the doors to know they are made in God’s image, deeply loved, and welcome as they are.

Outside of church, Kevin loves spending time with Amanda and their two children, Landon and Kinsley. Family favourites include watching Survivor and playing games together. He also enjoys golfing and a good cup of coffee.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christianity and Culture from Trinity Western University and a Master of Divinity from McMaster Divinity College.

A SMALL BEGINNING. A SHARED PURPOSE.

The Well began in a Binbrook living room in 2016 with a simple question: How can we love and serve our community?

Our name comes from John 4, where Jesus meets a woman at a well. His welcome changed her life. That encounter continues to inspire us to make room for people to meet Jesus and discover the hope He offers.

We believe church is more than a place to go. It’s a community of people learning to follow Jesus, care for one another, and share His love in everyday life.

Today, we gather on Sundays at 9am at 2553 Binbrook Rd. Our purpose remains the same: helping people take their next steps toward Jesus.

ROOTED IN JESUS.

Jesus is at the centre of who we are. We trust the Bible as God’s Word and believe His love changes lives. The Well is part of the Central Canadian District of The Alliance Canada, a family of churches centred on Christ, empowered by the Spirit, and committed to God’s mission.
